Gifts to Friends of the Theatre contribute to...
The Friends of the Theatre is a membership group that supports the theatre productions at Pepperdine University. Friends of the Theatre members are an enthusiastic group who care deeply about providing crucial opportunities for academic and personal development for our theatre students.
Your gift also makes our popular Edinburgh Theatre Program possible, allowing students to share their art internationally, grow as young artists, and forge lasting connections in the global theatre community. This year, 18 students will spend their first week abroad exploring the Scottish countryside and learning about Scottish culture, language, and mythology while getting acclimated to their time abroad. The following week, rehearsals at the famed Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow begin! We will again be working with Lynda Radley (2016 playwright of the highly successful The Interference). The program will conclude with 13 performances at The Assembly Theatre. It will be a whirlwind of a summer, replete with Scottish cultural and artistic immersion. We can't wait to experience the newest chapter of this long standing program and are grateful for support from our community.
Theatre enthusiasts Sonny & Amy Miller are generously offering a $2,500 matching gift to support the Friends of Theatre on this special Giving Day. Every dollar you donate today will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $2,500, doubling the impact of your gift.
Thank you for your support of the Friends of the Theatre program! Your generous contribution gives students opportunities to participate in hands-on master classes with industry professionals and supports our Edinburgh program. Your donation helps us continue to create new and exciting ways to enhance the educational experience for Pepperdine students.
