The Mountain

The Mountain at Mullin Park is an extraordinary initiative that will transform the Waves community and student experience on the Malibu campus. It will serve as the new hub for student fitness, wellness, and Waves athletics. The complex will include a three-story indoor sports arena and a student fitness center.

The Mountain’s Fitness, Wellness & Recreation Center, will feature a 10,000-square-foot fitness center, group exercise spaces, personal training areas, and ocean-view terraces. It will also house a recreation lounge, administrative offices, and meeting rooms, helping to enhance student well-being and promote resilience.

The second building, The Athletics and Event Complex, will include a state-of-the-art arena that will be the new home for Pepperdine’s Division I basketball and volleyball teams. The arena will seat up to 3,600 attendees and include a multi-activity indoor court for practice and recreation. A 360-degree LED screen will enhance the fan experience, and the venue can also host concerts and speaker series.
