Friends of Art and Art History

At Pepperdine’s Seaver College, the Art and Art History programs nurture both creative practice and critical insight. Studio art majors and minors refine their craft through painting, sculpting, digital media, and exhibition opportunities—supported by small class sizes, a mobile gallery, and summer programs in Florence. Meanwhile, art history students engage deeply with global cultures and ideas—benefiting from museum-based learning at the on-campus Frederick R. Weisman Museum, immersive study abroad options, impactful service projects, lecture series, and internships at world-class institutions like the Getty, LACMA, and the Guggenheim.

Together, these programs cultivate artistic excellence, intellectual curiosity, and community engagement—preparing students for vibrant careers or graduate study in fields such as conservation, curation, design, and education.
