Christopher Parkening Guitar Program

Pepperdine’s Classical Guitar program, under the direction of world renowned guitarist Christopher Parkening, offers students a rare chance to cultivate artistry through beauty, warmth, and lyricism. Each semester, guitar students benefit from private lessons and masterclasses with Parkening, and perform in the monthly Guitar Concert Series as well as outreach concerts in the community. Students also gain valuable experience through recording sessions with professional artists, chamber ensemble opportunities, and a nurturing studio environment that encourages both individual growth and collaboration.
