The Angela and Gordon Lloyd Endowed Scholarship was established by Gordon Lloyd to provide scholarships to students involved in research with preference given to students involved in research in the area of the Constitution and public policy. Lloyd, the founding faculty member of the School of Public Policy, was the inaugural Robert and Katheryn Dockson Professor of Public Policy.
An accomplished author, intellectual, and constitutional scholar, Lloyd developed the core curriculum that serves as the school's foundation. He authored 14 books, the latest titled Equality of Opportunity: A Century of Debate with David Davenport. The creator of the most highly regarded websites on the origin of the Constitution and the Constitutional Convention; he also gave the annual Constitution Day lectures at Pepperdine and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. A beloved professor, Lloyd was the recipient of the Howard A. White Award for Teaching Excellence.
